Privacy policy

Who is responsible for your data

Numminen Advisory is the controller of the personal data described here.

  • Numminen Advisory Oy, Business ID 3658803-7
  • Runeberginkatu 44 A10, 00260 Helsinki, Finland
  • Privacy questions: Joanna Numminen, joanna@numminenadvisory.com

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: your name, company and email address, together with what you write in the contact form (the size of your group, what is coming up, your question and how you heard about us) or in an email.
  • Website usage data collected with Google Analytics: pages visited, time on the site, the site you came from, approximate location at city or country level, and your device and browser type. We use this as statistics and do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your contact request and prepare for the call you asked for.
  • To manage a customer relationship and its contracts and invoicing, if we end up working together.
  • For marketing: to send you occasional information about our services that is relevant to your work. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop.
  • To understand how the website is used and to improve it.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and developing our business, the performance of a contract when we work together, compliance with legal obligations such as accounting rules, and your consent for analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. It is processed only by service providers that run things on our behalf: our website hosting provider, our email provider and Google, which provides Google Analytics. Google may process data outside the EU and the EEA. Where data moves outside the EU and the EEA, the transfer relies on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or its standard contractual clauses.

How we store and protect it

Your data is handled in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact requests are stored in the website’s own database and in our email. Access is limited to the people who need it to answer you, and the website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

We keep contact details for as long as they are needed to handle your request and any customer relationship that follows. Records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting records, are kept for the period the law sets. Marketing data is kept until you opt out.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • have incorrect data corrected
  • have your data deleted, where we do not have to keep it by law
  • restrict or object to our use of your data, including marketing at any time
  • receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • withdraw your consent to analytics cookies

Send your request to joanna@numminenadvisory.com. We reply within one month. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can also contact the Finnish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Google explains how it handles data in the Google Privacy Policy.
